Our Lake
13 acre carp fishing lake
ÉTANG DES DEUX PIERRES is set in the famous Champagne region of France, just 10 minutes from the market town of Vitry-le-François. The lake is situated east of Paris, near the Belgian and German borders and approx. 3.5 hour drive from the port of Calais.
Located in a remote area surrounded by woodland and farms, the estate is completely secure and fenced in.
Our stunning 13 acre gravel pit has an island and depths up to ca. 9 feet depending on the time of year.
There are a total of 10 swims, including 1 double for a maximum of 8 anglers. This gives your group a lot of space, with some swims having the option of fishing the island and others having plenty of open water.
There are various features to each swim, although the lake bed is fairly uniform and mainly gravel, which helps to ensure that the fish visit most areas.
Our Facilities
For a convenient holiday
There are English style toilets and shower facilities near the Kitchen and Dining area. A further flush toilet has been installed for the swims which are away from the main toilet and shower block.
There are also facilities for charging of batteries such as for bait boats and phones, etc.
We have a freezer and fridge with adequate space for bait and food.
Our Story
About the fishery
The lake has been operating for ca. 15 years as a carp fishing venue. It has been named "Deux Pierres" (Two Pierres/Peters) after the son and grandson - both called Pierre - of the original owner who has created the gravel pit. Later on it was run as a fishery under the name "Lac du Tard".
In 2022, we were fortunate enough to purchase the property and in order to honour its heritage, we decided to give back its original name "Étang des Deux Pierres".
Our aim is to fulfil the fishery's full potential by creating a relaxing and enjoyable angling experience with a chance to catch some of the stunning carp that reside within the lake.
Ensuring that our guests have access to all necessary amenities is important to us, whilst maintaining the beautiful natural surroundings.
